Dear guests!

As a family, we are traditionally involved in vineyard cultivation and wine production since the times when our grandfathers and great-grandfathers were cultivating the vines as their nurturer and savior, facing poverty and suffering up to the present day, when the third generation of Micak family leaves one period behind, walking towards the challenges of the 21st century. Wine does not only attract us by its charm, but it also enriches our activities in trading, hosting our guests, socializing, music and everyday life, in the place that hosts nearly one million people per year, mostly pilgrims. In fact, we are a part of that sea of people we do not personally know, and yet they are so close and so familiar to us, what gives us rise to even greater kindness and friendliness. Our business and the results we have achieved confirms our belief that this generation of Micak family will survive with the vines, under the auspices of the Marian shrine of Marija Bistrica and all the good people of this region.

On the large hill, overlooking the Shrine of Marija Bistrica, lies the winery/excursion resort of Micak family, based on tradition and hospitality of three generations. There the guests have been enjoying exquisite wine offered on the table full of homemade, indigenous grandmother’s specialties since 1958.

As our vineyards are a part of the promenade „Marian pilgrimage route” (the promenade that connects all the dots with a view of the National Shrine of Marija Bistrica), we often take our guests down this route.

On an area of ten hectares, we have planted all the wine gems like Rhine Riesling, Yellow Muscat, Pinot Gris, Sylvaner, Chardonnay, Traminer, Kerner, Sauvignon, Riesling, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which – under the watchful eye of an experienced oenologists and best young Croatian vintner in 2011 – witness to the beautiful wine story that you, dear friends, are yet to discover.

We specialize in producing red wines in barrique barrels, as evidenced by the champion medals in 2011 and 2012 in the championship of the continental Croatian.

We have also dedicated ourselves to the production of predicate dessert wines.
